Councilwoman Sveinbjörg Birna Sveinbjörnsdóttir has declared that she will not return from maternity leave until the results of an internal audit of her affairs has been reached by the city's presiding board.
Sveinbjörndóttir is among the elected officials who's involvement in off-shore tax havens was exposed following the Panama-Papers leak. She has connections to two offshore companies in the documents.
